There will be prizes awarded to the top three teams as chosen by the judges. The top winning team will also join an aftercare mentoring program that will be facilitated by Sensi Tech Hub in collaboration with GIZ, GFA and expert mentors to help them develop their idea or prototype toward viable, sustainable operations.
The awards will in the form of an in-kind startup toolkit. This may include services, platform subscriptions, infrastructure, equipment and other support materials. The value of the toolkits for the winning teams will be:
1st prize: $2,500
2nd prize: $1,500
3rd prize: $1,000
With uncertainty around attendance and participation in the weeks before the hackathon, the final results were a very pleasant surprise: 4 days, 18 speakers/mentors, 96 participants, 16 prototype solutions and 3 amazing winning teams.
