Densay Health Emergency Hub

DENSAY HEALTH EM HUB

Densay Health Emergency Hub

“Densay” Health Emergency Hub-SL is created to control the spread of rumours during outbreaks/emergencies.

The hubs will be in a form of kiosks/boots already established by our mobile network partners with their agents that are situated all over the country, who will report directly to us whenever there is a rumour going around and we will immediately respond to our partners who will then confirm the message to us and then we will disseminate the messages to our subscribers through a text message system, short code, app, website, social media( Facebook page, twitter and Instagram accounts), and media houses(local radio stations, TV channels and print). We will make sure we effectively engage the media houses and social media networks. People can contact us on Facebook and twitter with this harsh tag #Densay, and when we get the notification we will automatically contact our partners and get the correct information then reply them.

This initiative will build and support capacities, by using a standardized singular approach to leverage with partners and facilitators MOHS, and disaster management systems, as well as enhance social practitioners and technicians. “Densay” health emergency hubs will also prioritize high profile diseases, specific strategies, and measure national preparedness plans, use timely risk assessment and work with a business model that will be effective and efficient. The operations of the initiative will be entailed by using one programme, one workforce and one budget. This means ready-to-go personnel for deployment to an emergency from one programme approach wherever they will be and the use of contingency emergency fund and effective logistics for rapid response.

This solution will work when we deploy our trained agents into their local communities to sensitize people and pass on the information about rumours. That whenever there is a rumour going around you should call, text or visit the nearest “Densay” hub in your area and confirmed whether the information is true or not.

This initiative is to control the spread of rumours, protect and save lives during an emergency or an outbreak and to prevent, prepare, detect, and provide rapid response from outbreaks and emergencies.
